I don't really want to sit here and tell you a summary of a book because that is pointless. You can find the whole summary online if you aren't planning on reading it. I wouldn't say I'm in love with the book but I'm in love with parts of the book. But I'm not completely sure what I feel yet. Holden (the main character) is very confused about his life and he isn't really sure what he's doing. He wants to escape life but he can't. In a strange way it's relatable. The plot in the book isn't very set. Like most of the books that I usually read I guess. But I would definitely give this book a try.(maybe it's something different from what you'll usually read.)
I'm really unsure if this is a book I'd reccomend because it's storyline and character is so out of the ordinary.I honestly, don't even know what I'm writing about at this point. I'm so tired and but I can't sleep. I really don't know. Well that was off topic but I think this book is worth reading. Also I feel like my taste in books and music has changed. I used to only read dystopian books and listen to loud party music but now I really just like classic books and calming music I guess. Also I've been really stuck on what to write about.

Book Review : The Perks of being a wallflower
Disclaimer: I'm not a professional book reviewer or anything. So don't kill me if you end up hating the book. Everyone has different views and opinions.
I'm in love with this book. For starters I finished it in 1 and a half days. Even though I had major exams. ( Don't ever do that btw) At first I didn't understand why I was in love with this book. I haven't felt this way about a book in a long time. I don't even relate that much to Charlie (the main character) I'm not half as smart as him. I wouldn't even say I'm a wallflower. But the way the author writes you'll be able to see the world through his eyes.
Charlie (the main character) is dealing with the death of his aunt and his friend Micheal. He tries to 'participate' but he still feels like a wallflower.
Wallflower: a person who has no one to dance with or who feels shy, awkward, or excluded at a party.
He meets two seniors Sam and Patrick who expose him to things like drugs, parties, dances and music. Throughout this book Charlie is writing to someone he does not say who it is but he refers to him/her as 'friend'. But it seems like he is writing to us (the readers) which makes us feel special. It's almost as if we're Charlie's friend. I think that's the main reason to why I was so drawn to this book.
It's set in the 1990s but I feel like I can still relate to this book in a way. I watched the movie before I read the book and I think the book is better than the movie. The movie is a lot harder to understand. I watched it 4 times and I finally understood it. If you do end up watching the movie or reading this book you should listen to the songs. I don't even like old music but I'm obsessed with the songs from the movie. I hope you give this book a read.
