Book Review: The Heir

This is the famous sequel series to The Selection. I really enjoyed The Selection as a whole but I didn't like the last one. So I didn't have high expectations for this book. I did read reviews of this book. For the most part I really enjoy reading dystopian books. They're one of my favourite genres.

I'm gonna be completely honest, I did not enjoy this book. Why?

1. The main character Eadlyn is a bitch. She's nothing like America or Maxon
2. She thinks she's so powerful and she thinks she's better than everyone else
3. Nobody is worthy enough for her
4. She's self centered and whiny
5. Even the people hate her
6. She wants everything on a silver platter. Even though she doesn't even try to be nice

I hated this book. Other than these reasons, the plot is boring and unrealistic. The character build up of Eadlyn is so poor. She starts off as a bitch and you're hoping something changes her but no. I mean there are times they show her soft side. But other than that, The character build up is very poor.


Would I recommend this book? If you're into books with a bitchy main character and an unrealistic plot. If you though The One was bad, (the last book in The Selection) DO NOT READ THIS. It's waste of time. As much as I'm bashing this book, I did however finish the book in a few hours. But that doesn't mean it was good.
